Is my diet safe? Tips?

I am only slightly overweight by about 8 pounds. I am trying to lose that weight and be a little toned before late May or early June.
I eat about 1,300 calories or less a day. I play DDR until I burn 250 calories then use the first video of the Slim In 6 workout system. I also plan to fast once or twice a week to cleanse my system and skip a few calories.
I was wondering if this was a safe way to lose the weight. I was also wondering if once I lost the weight, if I stopped fasting would the weight fly back on?
I would appreciate answers from educated people or people experienced with the fasting method of weight loss. Thanks! :]

I have lost a lot of weight recently, and I can guarantee fasting is not the way to do it. When you stop eating, your metabolism grinds to a halt and holds onto all the energy (fat) it can.
