Lose 20 pounds in 6 months or less?

i dont want lipo or any weight loss products, i wanna do it the cheap way. dieting. so what do i eat and what cant i eat so that i lose weight? if i ate nothing but salads would that work? im a cheerleader so i want to lose weight so i continue to be a flyer. so please help any tips that will work. no rude commets plz :)

- take balanced diet
- take 5 meals in the day
- add fruits and vegetables in your meals
- zip your lips for fried and fast foods
- avoid colas and sweets
- drink more water and fresh juice
- do regular workout, yoga or brisk walk
- think positive and keep smiling
