Finger food dinner ideas for 1 year old?

My son is a year old, and is not interested in food from baby jars anymore. And thats a good thing - I know :) We eat a lot of stews and very hot food, so including him fully in our dinner meals right now is probably not a great idea. He wants to eat himself for dinner - so that excludes a few of the messier options (allthough we do go through our fair share of floor messes trying to master Mr. Spoon) .

I'd love to make his diet more interesting, - I try to add a meat, a veggie or two and some fruit at the end of the meal, but it seems to me it could potentially be more exciting for him if my baby food repertoire was a bit more inventive.

Any good ideas or tips? Hoping to get some ideas for food that are finger friendly - I know sheperds pie and mac and cheese are popular dishes, but Im thinking more about the days where he doesnt necessarily need a bath after dinner ;).
