My dog Winston is a 12 year old Jack Russell terrier with a heart murmur. He has always been really easy to keep healthy and never had any health problems before. He was diagnosed with a heart murmur this summer and I've been reading a lot. I always seen articles suggesting you change their diets, but it's not very clear. Winston weighs about 13 pounds and has a pretty healthy weight. He has breathing problems because of his hearth murmur and he doesn't get a ton of exercise because of such. We have still been feeding him dry dog food but I know it's really time for him to eat differently. Is there anyone who can give me advice on what would be better to feed him?
Answer on How should I be feeding my dog?
You can continue to feed him dry food if he doesn't have problems with his teeth. Feed a healthy food like Wellness, Natural Balance or Blue Buffalo. Make sure it's senior formula.
