Is it bad if i dont have meat in my diet?

im 21

the rest of my family likes goat meat and thats all they buy from the local butcher. i dont really like goat meat and much perfer cow or lamb. My mum knows that i dont like goat meat so i told her that i will just become a vergetarian seeing as i have only ever eated the goat meat she buyies only once and never again eating it. she said that it was fine by her and so ive decided that ill be a vegetarian.

but my question is as far as my health is concerned will it matter much if i dont consume meat in my diet. Im kind of a skinny/average guy and i want to work out so will it matter much if i dont consume any meat. what are the positives of having meat in the diet??

Homo sapiens is an omnivorous species, so we all need to eat both meat and veggies. Plants do not contain complete protein or some essential vitamins and minerals, so It is a terribly bad idea to become a vegetarian. Insist that your parents buy some lamb or beef for you. It is cruel if they do not. EDIT: Morgan gives bad advice.
