What would be a good estimate of money to take if i'm going to FLorence, ITaly this summer???? I'm thinking maybe 1,500 or 2 grand...i'm not looking to spend or buy alot...

It depends on what you want to see and do and how long you'll be staying. You need to remember the difference between the value of the dollar and the euro too. It's generally more expensive here in Italy. What does this need to include - accomodations, food, entrance fees & souvenirs, day trips/tours?
